Topic: Cozy Install
Message: Just a note to say that we have recently aquired our first Cozy
sidecar to install at our shop. It will be mounted to a Triumph Trident. I
am quite impressed with the sidecar and am looking forward to doing this
installation. We will be doing a few modifications here and there but feel
it will make a very nice outfit when done.

Topic: Sidecar Wanted
Message: Hi, Just purchased a CF Moto 250cc Fashion Scooter and I am looking for a Sidecar so that my best buddy, my 80lb dog, can ride with me. Can anyone suggest a sidecar that might fit
thank you
JB
Cyclesidecar Reply: Dear JB,
We will be carrying a line of scooter sidecars soon. In fact we just imported two different ones to test. One issue with scooters is that they have frames that vary widely. The first thing for you to check is the attachment points on your particular scooter.

Topic: sidecar dampener
Message:
Hello:
We have had a cozy porthole rocket attached to our Stella for 3 years now.
I am interested in the dampener.
It is made for the cozy?
It does fit on the front ?
As you know there is a stabilizer bar mounted between the scooter and sidecar above the cowling attaching below the seat.
I assume this new bar takes care of the front wheel wobble.
Thanks for the info in advance ..heres a picture of Stella and Gizmo.

Cyclesidecar Reply: Dear Karen,
The standard dampener that we sell is indeed made for the Cozy but……….it is designed to fit between the Cozy frame and the front fork of a motorcycle. I am not sure that there is a convenient place to hook it up to a scooter fork. It does stop or greatly reduce the front end shimmy. You can find more pictures of how they attach here: http://www.cyclesidecar.com/Guides/enfield.html.
We do have a more universal dampener here that may be helpful:
http://www.royalenfieldusa.com/premium-sidecar-dampener-p-6873.html
If you order one and cannot find a way to make it work (without actually installing it) it is fully returnable.

Topic: Kawasaki W650 with Cozy Sidecar
Message:
HAVE A 2000 W650 (EJ650) RETRO KAWASAKI. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIFIC INFORMATION ON MOUNTING A ROCKET SIDECAR TO THE W650. I WOULD ALSO KNOW IF THE STANDARD ENFIELD MOUNTS WOULD WORK WITH SOME SMALL MODIFICATION OR WOULD I NEED THE UNIVERSIAL KIT. THANK YOU
John Enyard
Cyclesidecar Reply: John,
We have seen several Kawasaki W650’s with Cozy sidecar attached. It is actually a very nice combination and they look like they were made for each other. One of our customers used the standard mount kit that comes with each Cozy Sidecar and just modified it to suit the motorcycle. The other used the universal mount kit. I would suggest that when you purchase your Cozy sidecar try the mounts that already come with the kit. Or you can always order the universal sidecar mount bracket kit and return it if you don’t need it. We have a couple of pictures in our photo gallery of Cozy’s mounted to W650’s

Message: Will the rocket sidecar fit my Honda 750 and if so what do I need to install it. Thanks Jim M.
Cyclesidecar Reply: Dear Jim,
As it happens our director of dealer development has a 750 that he attached a Cozy to, In fact there may be some pictures of it on our website. It fits just fine. What you will need is the Cozy kit along with the universal sidecar mount kit, both of which are available on our website. If you have any more questions give "Tait" a call at 1-800-201-7472 and he can give you his first hand experience.

We here at Cyclesidecar and Classic Motorworks can attest to the Minnesota passion for ice fishing. In northern Minnesota they plow streets with names on the lake there are so many ice houses. You can use your cell phone, give your lake address and get groceries, drinks etc delivered. Of course how much fishing gets done in most ice houses is open to question. Methinks it is merely an excuse to get out of the house and hang out with your buddies Every year several cars go through the ice, while most drivers survive some don't. The sidecar sounds like an ideal ice fishing vehicle.

I have seen pictures of Minnesota lakes that look like towns with ice houses on them, but I've never met anyone who actually did it. Why in the world would you sit on a lake and freeze you're a*s off, just to catch a couple of fish - It's Safeway for me! And they call us nuts!!

Yes, they do bike racing with studs in the tires in Wisconsin. There is nothing better than a sidecar rig to get out to your ice house on the lake with. I put my portable house out further than most people want to walk because I can get out there easily in my sidecar. I can get out there alone because I can go out before the ice is thick enough to support a car. Sounds crazy? It is a winter sport there that is a time honored tradition. Another advantage of the sidecar is that if I hit a spring or soft spot and go through the ice I don't have to worry about getting out of the car.

Do you guys really race on ice up there? The next thing you'll be telling us that you walk on water over the winter also.

Topic: sidecar alignment
Message: I was aligning a big rig (18 wheeler semi) in our shop with some lazer alignment equipment we have for that purpose when the driver simply asked "Do you guys know how to align a sidecar"?
Yes I replied but I haven't done it in ages.(about 30 years ago!) A week later he turned up with the combo at our shop. We did the alignment per the enclosed instruction on a Saturday afternoon, then we decided to adapt our lazer truck equipment to do the sidecar job. With a couple of tram bars and the lazer kit we got it into alignment much quicker than the old timer method I have always employed. Worked great!
As an amusing footnote. The other day a Rep for the lazer alignment company stopped in to enquire on the equipments performance. Works great on big trucks I said and especially well on sidecar combos!
Can you imagine look on his face?
